Call an AGCP fitter!

For the best set of Golf Clubs you have ever owned...

Fitting is the most important thing you can do if you want a new set of golf clubs, being fit by an AGCP fitter is the best fit you can get! AGCP fitters are the best in the world. See our locator page and you can play better golf. Do not be fooled by the size of their store! Do not think that because they can give lessons and play good they can fit clubs. Do not buy any golf clubs, or make an appointment for a fitting until you read this page.

How Do you know how good AGCP fitters are? When you look on the locator page, notice their Qualification Level. Each member is tested on their knowledge, ability and experience in fitting and building. Their performance on the test along with the factors listed on the Qualifications Page will determine their Qualification Level. The clubmakers who have taken the test have their Qualification Level listed beside their name. In addition each Level has a list of tools and equipment found in their shop. Regardless of their location if they have the tools and equipment, the expertise and experience and they grade out on our test, you can bet they can take care of you. The final test is to call them up and be sure you are comfortable with them before you make the trip to their shop.

A bad set of clubs fit correctly is better than the best set of clubs in the world that doesn’t fit your swing.

Why buy any clubs off the shelf? They are not fit, they are all one size fits all. More and more touring Professionals are telling you to get fit for clubs.

What fit? Not just any fit. Look on our locator pages and call an AGCP fitter. We are the best in the world, bar none.

Virtually all of our fitters are also PCS members and many of them are PCS Certified and some are PCS International Clubmakers of the Year.

Many of our fitters are also GCA members and some are GCA Clubmakers of the Year.

Some are both! Some are more!

The AGCP is set apart from these important organizations because we are the Professionals and we are the best of the best. We operate businesses and many have fine retail shops. We are not the hobbyist clubmakers, we are the Professionals and we are the best. Some of our members have shops constructed at home that rival some of the best facilities anywhere as far as equipment and the AGCP member is as well trained as any fitter anywhere, and better than most!

Our fitters have attended schools at the PCS, at Golfsmith, at Golfworks, at Dynacraft, at Mitchell. Some are PGA members or former PGA members and some have attended USGTF schools and have been certified to teach the golf swing as professional teachers. Some have attended and been Certified by PGTAA as teaching Professionals.

What about my local PGA Pro, you may be thinking. After all he is a PGA member. - Yes, PGA members are very good at swing faults, but by and large most of them still teach the golf swing around the equipment rather than adjust the equipment to the golf swing and then fine tune the swing. AGCP members fit the equipment to your golf swing so that you can take advantage of all of your God given natural ability and athleticism, or to help make up for your lack of it. Rather than try and turn you into a Golf Professional with a picture perfect Golf

Professional swing that you might need to hit those new clubs sitting on the shelf in the Pro Shop, the AGCP fitter builds a set of clubs to compensate for your lack of a Professional swing. The AGCP fitter is aware of heads and shafts and how to configure them to enhance your natural ability and/or compensate for the abilities you do not have. You do not have to adjust your swing to the clubs with an AGCP fitter, he will adjust your clubs to you!

What about the fitter at the local golf store? Isn’t he trained and doesn’t he have the equipment to do it right? No, he is not trained and maybe on the equipment. Just because the Big Box Store has millions of dollars worth of the finest name brands advertised doesn’t mean the fitter is trained or knows anything other than how to talk about what the Golf Equipment Reps tell him or write up a sales ticket. Most of the sales people are trained to fit you and get your money in about 20 minutes. The big box stores figure that if a sale takes longer than 20 minutes or so they will spend too much time with a customer and will not have the sell through required to maximize profits. The sales people may not even realize the training they received was for this purpose and may actually believe they are doing all that can be done. Believe me they are not in 99% of the cases.

Our members have been through more training and more classes then any of these sales people and far more than the vast majority of the PGA Professionals. Even the PGA Professionals on tour are not aware of all the engineering details and the dynamics of properly fitting a golfer fo the best clubs. They are typically fit, most of the time, by Factory Reps who bring a bag full of clubs to the range and let them hit until they find the one they like the most. - This simply is not fitting!

Take a look at the Typical Fitting page for an idea of what an AGCP fitting is. An AGCP fitting consists of measuring your present equipment, measuring your golf swing, an extensive interview to learn all about how you hit the ball now, how you miss the ball now, what clubs you hit good and what clubs you hit bad. We also want to know about the golf course you play on and how it is constructed so we know what clubs you need and what clubs you do not need.
