Certification Requirements
for
AGCP Qualification Levels

AGCP members are tested and Qualified for listing on the AGCP web site using the following Levels of Qualifications. If you find a member on the locator pages. check his Qualification Level to determine his experience, qualifications and the equipment he has in his shops.

When you find your local AGCP member, click on his Qualification to see what equipment he has and his experience level.
Level 10 Qualified & Certified

Note to new members who take the test:
Please read the instructions carefully when you take your test. Your ability to follow the instructions is part of your test. If you can't follow instructions and return the test as requested it will be sent back for you to do again.

Level 1 - Member of AGCP – Level 1 must take a proficiency test and prove they have at least the minimum ability to do business as a Professional and a minimal amount of equipment to do business and help golfers. Level 1 members may or may not have attended any schools, but have been tested for a minimum of knowledge and experience to help you in some ways. It is advised that you call Level 1 members and satisfy yourself that they are capable of doing what you need.

Level 2 – Member of AGCP and has attended at least 1 recognized school or certification course at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 3 – Member of AGCP and has attended at least 2 recognized schools or certification courses, at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 4 – Member of AGCP and has attended at least 3 recognized schools or certification courses, at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 5 – Member of AGCP and has achieved Certification thru PCS or GCA testing, or has been building and/or fitting clubs for 3 or more years with appropriate schools or certification courses, at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Member has fitting ability but limited equipment. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 6 – Member of AGCP and has achieved Advanced Certification thru PCS or GCA testing, and/or PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class, and/or has been building and/or fitting clubs for 5 or more years with appropriate schools or certification courses, like Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification. Member has fitting ability but limited equipment. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 7 - Member of AGCP and has achieved Certification thru PCS or GCA testing, and/or has been building and/or fitting clubs for 3 or more years and/or appropriate schools or certification courses at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Member has a complete shop with hitting net, launch monitor, gauges for measuring shafts & heads and the ability to bend clubs to fit. Equipment must include Launch monitor or swing analysis equipment similar to Golf Achiever, Vector, Bengston, Zeolocity, or other recognized equipment for swing testing. Member has bending equipment for loft and lie on irons, appropriate shaft pulling equipment, equipment to spine shafts and measure frequency of shafts. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 8 - Member of AGCP and has achieved Certification thru PCS or GCA testing, and/or has been building and/or fitting clubs for 5 or more years and/or appropriate schools or certification courses at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Member has a complete shop with hitting net, launch monitor, gauges for measuring shafts & heads and the ability to bend clubs to fit. Equipment must include Launch monitor or swing analysis equipment similar to Golf Achiever, Vector, Bengston, Zeolocity, or other recognized equipment for swing testing. Member has bending equipment for loft and lie on irons, appropriate shaft pulling equipment, equipment to spine shafts and measure frequency of shafts. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 9 - Member of AGCP and has achieved Certification thru PCS or GCA testing, and/or has been building and  fitting clubs for 3 or more years with appropriate schools or certification courses at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Member has a complete shop with hitting net, launch monitor, gauges for measuring shafts & heads and the ability to bend clubs to fit. Equipment must include Launch monitor or swing analysis equipment similar to Golf Achiever, Vector, Bengston, Zeolocity, or other recognized equipment for swing testing. Member has bending equipment for loft and lie on irons, appropriate shaft pulling equipment, equipment to spine shafts and measure frequency of shafts.  Member also has video capability and/or teaching capabilities. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 10 - Member of AGCP and has achieved Certification thru PCS or GCA testing, and/or has been building and fitting clubs for 5 or more years and/or appropriate schools or certification courses at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Member has a complete shop with hitting net, launch monitor, gauges for measuring shafts & heads and the ability to bend clubs to fit. Equipment must include Launch monitor or swing analysis equipment similar to Golf Achiever, Vector, Bengston, Zeolocity, or other recognized equipment for swing testing. Member has bending equipment for loft and lie on irons, appropriate shaft pulling equipment, equipment to spine shafts and measure frequency of shafts. Member also has video capability and/or teaching capabilities. Member has a retail location in their community. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Level 10 Plus Teaching Plus Retail - Member of AGCP and has achieved Certification thru PCS or GCA testing, and/or has been building and fitting clubs for 5 or more years and/or appropriate schools or certification courses at PCS, Golfworks, Golfsmith, Mitchell, Dynacraft or attended Rifle or TT Black Gold Certification class. Member has a complete shop with hitting net, launch monitor, gauges for measuring shafts & heads and the ability to bend clubs to fit. Equipment must include Launch monitor or swing analysis equipment similar to Golf Achiever, Vector, Bengston, Zeolocity, or other recognized equipment for swing testing. Member has bending equipment for loft and lie on irons, appropriate shaft pulling equipment, equipment to spine shafts and measure frequency of shafts. Member also has video capability and teaching capabilities as a former or current PGA Professional or certification through one of the recognized

Golf Teaching Schools. Written and/or Verbal testing required.

Teaching – Send copy of Teaching Certificate issued upon successful completion of your teaching school, copy of PGA Class A card or notarized letters from Head Professionals you have worked under attesting to your teaching ability along with photo copy of their Class A card.
Retail – Submit copy of Business license and/or tax except certificate and picture of your shop or storefront.
